I would get Tires Kumho MX's and Whitlines 22mm adjustable Swaybar w/ kartboy endlinks . Rims are nothing but for looks and springs depending on how much you are willing to spend 300-1300 or for full suspension. Est. tire and swaybar and endlinks
tires 234.00 swaybar w/endlinks 210
tires 234.00 swaybar w/endlinks 210
Thanks for the info. I think I will get the Swaybar 1st. and the end links as recommended. Any opinions on the strut bars front and/or rear? I have come to the conclusion that the benefit from the strut bars occurs only during extreme cornering. Is that true?
BTW where is Kailua in relation to Pearl City? I was just there a couple of months ago. Auntie Pastos for some reason seems to be my favorite rest.
Thanks for the info.

When choosing your strut bar (which really isn't needed at this point) look for something that uses some preloaded tension. Do the swaybar and end links first along with the harder swaybar bushings. After that its on to the suspension and tires. That is unless you run across a really good deal on parts in which do whatever is on sale at the time cause your going to do it eventually anyways so might as well do it when you can save yourself a few dollars.

i just put on my Cusco rear sway bar and Perrin end links about two weeks ago, it makes an immense differance in the way the car behaves in corners. it does kinda depend on your driving style, but i 'd do the sway bar and end links first. tires help the car stick to the ground, but sway bars will help you control the car when the tires are sliding.

kailua is about 20 min from pearl city and the swaybar you might want to look into would be Whitelines swaybar cheaper than Cusco. TRUST me there no different except in price and look who cares what it looks like its under the car u can barly see it good luck w/ your choices

I guess its decided. Swaybar first w/ endlinks. What size swaybar for the rear? From what I have read, its seems as if most are going w/ the 22mm size. Is that the best all around?
By the way can anyone explain what is means when people type "bump" I know it means something just dont know what?

one more quick question on weight of wheels. Do lighter wheels help quicker acceleration? How significant is the difference? Prodrive P1 vs. Volks? The price is more than double for the volks. Are they constructed that much better. Sorry for the tangent just curious.
Is Gruppe-S a good vendor for suspension?

i went with an adjustable swaybar (Cusco) that allows 22,23 or 24mm settings, and i use 22 on the street. it's great for everyday driving, and incidentally i bought it from Gruppe-S. it arrived in two days, no problems. pretty much everyone here thinks highly of Gruppe-S (see the vendor reviews secction).

My first handling mod was a 20mm FHI sway bar. BIG improvement. Then I got S03s. HUUUUGE improvement. Then I got Prodrive/Bilstein matched struts and springs. Another huge improvement, but not as big as the tires. Based on that, I'd say tires+ sway bar (it's only a $100 mod brand new, less than that used since a stock WRX 20mm bar fits anything) and then springs, preferably with struts too.

If you can get the adjustable swaybar that way you can start out with the lower setting and adjust it upwards in size as you get used to it. Naturally wheel weight comes into play when you are talking about off the line excelleration since its a matter of rotational mass. However when your looking at Volks which are twice as expensive then it gets hard to justify the very minimal difference that your going to notice between the Volks and another brand like the Prodrives. Keep in mind that the price difference is probably enough to pay for your suspension.
