Oil Cooler Gasket Leak

134k miles

I have the typical leak by the oil cooler. Ive changed the gasket between the oil cooler and the oil cooler bracket...one week later. still leaking. I just did it again tonight and i believe theres still a leak.

I originally thought I did get a good seal on the gasket but doing it twice. I know i did the second time. Has anyone have experience with the other 2-3?? gaskets that sit higher up on the bracket between the block and the oil cooler?

Thanks

picture for reference, this is before I changed it out the second time

Wait, you changed the gasket between oil cooler and filter? Hmmm, you mean gasket that comes with oil filter? Check that gasket between oil cooler and engine block, this could be your problem.

I have this same problem. I believe there are like 3-4 o ring gaskets in the cooler. I wanted to try the top one first (between block n cooler) and work my way down till its fixed. How hard was the top gasket u changed?

I there is only one oil cooler gasket dude. Its between the block and the cooler it's orange. There is also one on the oil filter. If you replace both and it's still leaking your cooler itself could be leaking

The 06-07 WRX has like 3 sandwich plates between oil filter and block. Maybe it's leaking from closer to the block?
