Oil Change...

This is my first post and I am sure this has been talked about before. I need to do my first oil change on my STI (1500 miles) and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on using Synthetic Oil this early?

most people wait till about 10k miles to switch over to synthetic. conventional oil helps break in the engine better than synthetic

I couldn't disagree more. I changed the oil to Mobile 1 at 1200 miles in my 04 STi. A number of cars such as Porsches even leave the factory with Mobile 1 in them to begin with. At 1500 miles, your engine is just about as broke in as it's gonna get, so go for it and switch it over.

everybody has their on theory. this wont get anywhere, because half say now, half say later.

but i changed to synthetic at 2100 miles. hope that helps.
