Engine/Power - EJ25T (STI and 2006+ WRX) Discussions about the USDM 2006+ WRX and WRX STi 2.5 liter turbo flat-four.

New sti. I'm pulling of the whole exhaust and wondering how much to sell it for. More

The STi exhaust will bolt right up to any WRX. You'll have to test fit the axleback to see if it clears the trailer hitch, but that's easy enough. 2 bolts, 3 wimpy exhaust hangers, and you've got them swapped. As for price, I would guess maybe $4-500 for the full turboback. The issue is that it really isn't any better than the WRX exhaust- same number and placement of cats, same restrictive baffle-type muffler. The only advantage is the slightly bigger tubing, and the slightly louder, better sound.

Also a guy who is interested in the sti exhaust has a 2002 wrx wagon. Will this thing bolt right on? He also has a hitch on the back for a bike rack. Will the muffler still fit?
how awesome! my wife has a 03 wrx wagon. and yes the Sti exaust bolts right on. ironically the exaust on a wrx is louder than on a STi. one day my wife and i placed our cars side by side and did a comparison. no scientific data..all subjective.. but it is louder. and performance wise... no difference.

well I suppose if you had to pay over the counter for it,

I sold mine for 350 last year and havent seen any sell for over300 since, BTW all the piping is the same size as regular WRX (2.25") so all your reall paying for is the cool STI tip, think everyone figured that out so thats why all the take off arent selling for as much as you may think.

It is not worth getting rid of. Keep it so you can put it back on if you have to sell the car. Then you can sell the aftermarket exhaust and get some of your money back. People are always being used aftermarket parts.

Did you understand my confusing question?
haha u funny guy- i made a very confusing example- okay here i go again-

my wifes wrx w/STi exaust is louder than a STi w/stock exaust....
sorry about that little misconfuberatcion
since there is no performance gain(i'm guessing cuz no 4WD dyno in hawaii)
i wouldnt really charge too much for it- basically to have it on a wrx is merely to be able to say that "i have STi parts" on my car. and it does look good for a stock exaust.
