Turboback exhaust is a must. Rear sway bar and better brake pads.

Toss in steering rack bushings and strut tops. Maybe anti-lift kit too.

I've seen a stage system out there that supposedly was producing 430hp

That requires a new turbo and bigger injectors, along with new engine management. Not exactly "light" mods.

True dat, the "light" system was 340hp i believe on that site level 1 prolly just engine maganagement and a turbo back exaust.

I think i would get cobbs accessport for that management problem though and just install the turbo back myself.

Drivers' schools are a great idea in any good driver's car. But most of us wouldn't consider a stereo a 'mod' in an STi, but rather a necessity

Why not?

Give it a couple months. If you drive your STi like God intended, you'll want a little more soon enough... then a little more... then a little more...

yeah Turbo-back is a great first mod as far as powers concerned, I would also suggest the new Helix catted DP since you wont find a catted downpipe that nice for that price.

just did the steering rack bushings, belive the hype, the stock bushings are seriously as soft as rubber bands
adjustable rear sway bar really made driving alot more fun too.

i agree with the turboback exaust right off the bat.
and depending on what kind of driving you plan on doing should help determine
what you want to spend your money on-
for me handling is a must- so when i have the fund$ the sti susp(which is a little too soft for my taste) is gone-
for something much better like jic's or maybe tein.
until i learn more "techie-puter" stuff i will stay away from anything computer related-

since 300 hp is more than enough for me(and reliable in stock form )
my goal is to lose some weight and move my battery to the trunk-
i'd like to see my car reach that "euphoria" of 50/50 weight distribution
