back in may of 08 new mods added and tuned by paul at db tuned. paul has done all the performance upgrades and has transformed my stock 06 sti into a very fast car that is still a daily driver. OK I noticed about a month ago the car wasn't making the boost it once was. still fast just not as much pop. now i started to notice yesterday a hollow high pitch metallic noise when the car is either reved up or foot comes off the gas to gear down or coast. the sound only happens between 2500 and 2000 rpms. this happens when the rpms are dropping. the sound the best i can tell seems to be coming form the area of the turbo and the stock bov or bellow and in front of that area. any thoughts ? tried to get a hold of paul but have had no luck yet. oh yeah car has 52000 on it

 

Turbo bearings or blades. My uneducated guess is the turbo is having some issue. I know duh.

thanks bro i was kinda worried about that. could driving the car damage something major. or just baby it till i can get paul to look at it ?

 

up-pipe heat shield "upper and lower" and possible exhaust leak before the turbo.
