I have a 04 STI motor started to make a knocking noise anyone know a good shop that knows how to work on our cars or if u know anyone the can. Was thinking about doing a motor swap or something. Let me know please. Thanks.

 

need to know a little more info please... how many miles? does the knocking get worse throught the RPMs? under load? GST is the best around here for quality work.

just a heads up mine had 70k on it and my oil pickup cracked causing oil starvation and total motor failure. if you let it go unckecked for too long your most likely going to need a rebuild due to bearing failure and metal shavings errwear. i put the killer B motorsports oil pickup tube in mine so i can never have this issue again.

my symptoms were knocking, oil usage, loss of power, low oil pressure. what are your syptoms?
