does anyone have issues with the car dying during idle or downshifting from second to first?
Haven't had this problem until recently. Whenever the car feels like it, it will die (twice at a red light and twice when I was making a left turn thru on-coming traffic). We have had some REAL hot weather (95s).
I have an Accessport and a GFB stealth BOV (slightly open) for a month.

Just as a diagnostic step could you close down the BOV or replace it with the stock one.
I don't think the accessport would be the culprit at idle but the bov from my understanding is a definite canadite. People have said that open BOV's cuase rough idles and a loss of power.

I agree put the stock BOV back on. My car kept stalling with a Blitz BOV put stock one back on problem solved the STI for some reason dosen't care for a BOV some people have problems and some don't.

yeh i have a turbo xs blow off valve on my 05 sti.. it only opens up at high psi.. if im barely boosting it wont even open up, so i havent encountered the rough idle. my car seems to b fine with it plus it makes one loud surge of air when i t does open up.. it s one of the best sounding blow off valves i have heard... very pleased with it.. but if u can close it off until high boost presures do that and i would think it would b fine... why havent u tried this already if possiable???????
I think your BOV spring has loosened up...
Pop your hood with the engine on... and give it some revs, look inside the BOV... if the piston of the BOV doesnt close BEFORE the engine returns to idle, you need to tighten your spring... Tighen it one turn @ a time until it closes well before the engine returns to idle. The only thing to look out for... is if you tighten too much, you will hear a fluttering sound, thats compressor surge... you want to avoid that, so loosen it up a bit...
The key is to find its sweet spot, just where it closes before engine speed returns to idle, but not too tight as to cause compressor surge.
Good luck, and I hope that solves your issue!
** oh, and by tightening the spring, I dont mean the port adjustment, which controls full plumbback/full atmosphere (In which case it sounds like youre running 25% atmos.) What I'm referring to is the adjustment which should be located on the very top that controls the internal spring pressure... Let me know if this helps!
