Im just curious the concensus on wastegates: For the EJ25, is an external wg more desirable in high boost/hi ouput scenarios than an internal wg?
Im lookin for 400 whp-tq but i want a seemless upgrade path over a year or so. With seemless i mean keeping previous mods ie exhaust components.. stock MAF. I also want a smooth accel less lag than stock so i can come in n out of those twisties with mad accel.
Any suggestions for a bolt on internal wg turbo?

These are all garret based gt-30 turbos......
There are some older style turbos like deadbolts and greens, but they seem to be outdated/under powered as compared to the newer garrets.
I hope your goal for 400whp is on race fuel, as that number will be hard to comeby on 91 octane.
