well..... jus curious... iam gonna be getting my car retuned cuz last time i had a cracked turbo and was only able to get 17 PSI with 100 octane.... i know i can get up in the 20's but how much can my stock enternals take?

 

Running that much psi. on the stock internals you
should be worried about detonation.
Detonation=death to your stock internals.

 

If you're tuning at 17psi, I'm guessing that it is a pretty conservative Stage 2 tune? Your stock internals will be fine going Stage 2. Once you step up to the Stage 4 world is when you should start worrying about your internals. Right now I'm tuned at 20.5psi according to the UTEC and about 18.7 according to the ECU. Running pump 92, I put down 300/318 on a Dynapack.

 

Yep,I am sure with a conservative stage 2 tune he
should be fine against knock.It's all in the tune my friend.

 

properly tuned you could run upto mid-20s w/ the right turbocharger.
