Good first mod list?

Im looking into getting an 04 STi soon and after i learn how the car runs stock, i plan on starting my mods. Just wondering what power you people think this would produce and what you would do.

HKS Hi-Power Exhaust
Turbo XS UP/DP
Ported wastegate to solve DP install issue.
Cobbtuning Access port
Pink Springs

I was wondering if u think the HKS/XS set up with the access port and proper tuning could bring me down to maybe 0-60 in 4.0.

Any information would be great

From: Are you too one of the few still living the past? Well I can change that! With a simple wicket. Yes, my friend, a wicket. PM for details.
Car Info: No car right now....sob.
Sounds like a good first mod list. Don't know about estimated power, changes from dyno to dyno.

The list sounds good but scratch the uppipe, you won't need to replace it. Otherwise if I ever plan on modding my car that would probably be the extent of mods I would do. Maybe an RSB if necessary too.

As far as as that 0-60 you are trying to achieve, I think you still have a long ways to go. I'll take a stab at that, that might get you a 0-60 of 4.5, maybe 4.4 at best. Someone else can give there guesses and say I am completely wrong if they want but thats my prediction.

I just looked at some figures and the Viper that weighs a little more than 3400lbs. does a 0-60 in 3.9 seconds with 505hp/525lbs-ft tq and the Corvette with 400hp does a 0-60 in 4.1 and weighs in just under 3200lbs. Now this isn't that great of a comparision considering we are talking different drive trains and playing with numbers doesn't get us really anywhere but I think you would need 400+hp to achieve a 0-60 of 4.0 seconds. The setup you mentioned will give you 350hp, you would probably need a little more extensive work to get you where you want.

yea, i knew 4.0 was probabally stretching it. Well im sure i'll be content with 4.4ish until i get the money for perhaps a bigger turbo, injectors, FMIC and whatnot. still have alot to learn but i cant wait to start modding. I've done a nice amount of work on my 2.5 but this will be uncomparable cant wait..

Go for a Helix DP, an exhaust of your choice and TUNING. Tuning is going to be the best way to spend your money if you want reliable power.

I would like you to understand that the STi runs pig rich and a tuner can extract 30-60WHP out of the stock car. Please don't buy Cobb AP. It's so proprietary like apple (macintosh) and you would be stuck with Cobb for as long as you have the AP. Go ECUTek reflash for your first tune.

Where are you loacated? If you are on the WC or EC I can recommend some excellent tuners.
