I was wondering if Taipan XP turbo back exhausts were any good? anybody have any thoughts on this company and their exhaust for the STI?

It's the exhaust that Vishnu used to sell as their non-signature TBE.

 

any idea how much this exhaust sells for? I am going to be taking it off the car soon and probably going to sell it. It has a hi flow cat on it too and the 02 sensor plug in.

 

Vishnu was selling this for around $1,300 brand new. Now they are using Helix for their non-signature TBE.

 

EXCATLY! It's the lame *** AU built non comforming TBE that vishnu imported really cheap and sold it to everyone who didnt know they were such a horrible company.

It rusts and will not bolt up to anything standard (USDM or JDM style exhausts).

 

Actually, the welds are very well done and I have not had any problems with rusting (SS should not rust). The exhaust fits up nice and tight to the body which is a plus for a lowered car. Fitment was perfect at the turbo and all of the hangers. My only complaint was the joint for the muffler section being in a tight spot.

 

blinguskahn, I don't know if the info you have is validated by something you have seen in person, but mine has a Taipan XP stamp on the muffler and everyone who has seen it on my car has been very impressed with the fitment and quality of it.

The reason I posted the question about it is because I bought the car from a dealer used and it already had it on the car and I knew nothing about it whatsoever, so if you want to see it in person sometime, not a problem.

Nothing on the exh says Vishnu, so I was confused. I will hopefully get the car on a lift today and take some underside pics of it.
