fuel pressure help ASAP!!!

i hope someone can help me here...... i drive an 06 wrx..... and my fuel pressure regulator went to sh*t...... ( subaru told me i should be seeing 30-38psi form idle to wot, and i am seeing 50-58 )

Here is the problem...... kragen, autozone, napa, etc. do not carry newones due to the car being so new..... the dealer wants way too much ( way broke right now )
I can get one off of a 2005 and older form the wrecker for $25 does anyone know what pressure they run and if they would work on a stock non tuned wrx .... even if it was only on the car for say a week so i can pass smog....... if anyone can help please drop me a PM

thanks in advance.....

Why won't warranty cover this failure?

dealer knows about my mods... they are sneaky that way ahhaha..... the only reason i knew it failed was because i had to smog the car.... so i put it back to stock..... and it failed miserably..... so i figured why not see if subaru will fix it........ hells no, they flagged me for everything still on the car ( clutch, suspension, mud flaps) and then proceeded to tell me about the mods they figured were on the car at one time ( charging me for that ) and then told me the new about the regulator, and that it would be $120 for the part, ( none in stock either ) plus install........ and i am going through hard times, as alot of peeps are... so i am looking for any help,, rather begging..... i called subaru and they told me they owuld have a tech call me..... that was a week ago... and i have called back.... maita subie sucks for help....mike at gst had no idea what the pressure should be, suggested aftermarket fpr, but thet will fail visual on smog.... i was thinking of putting an sti one on, but that might flow too much for smog once again maybe i shold just move to a non-smog state haha....
