Fuel Cutoff
ok this happend to me 3 times now and im starting to wonder why....
When I get some air with the 04 STI 3 times now the fuel cuts off and the car dies. Pretty damn dangerous becuase I lose power steering and braking. Pretty damn scary too...
Does anyone know if there is a stock cutoff that needs to be removed or what? I feel im really going to get hurt one day because of this.
The car cuts off when it lands BTW not in the Air, and im totally off the gas while in the Air. Nothing Major maybe 1-2 foot jump...

Same thing has happened to me, but I had low gas both times and was accelerating up a grade. Regardless, I still had close to two gallons in the tank and it shouldn't have happened.

Yeah, I think that might be it. I talked to some racing buddies today and they were clueless as to the problem.
I then was thinking about it and figured it must be from low fuel in the tank. Ill have to take notice to the amount of gas I have when it happens.
The strange part is ill do 50-100 laps and it wont happen at all.
Probably low fuel in the tank though...
Would a fuel cell correct this problem? Im still running the stock tank.

This happened to me before. When I landed the car completed died and everything locked up. Definitley scary as all hell. What I assumed happened was when I landed my knee hit the key and shut it off. To test my assumption I jumped it a few times more and made sure my knee was clear upon landing. Never happened again. Might be your problem too.
