I use a cool little coolant funnel that attaches to the res tank.
After filling up the system, I leave additional coolant in the funnel, let the motor run 'til the fans come on, than allow the motor to cool down with the funnel still in place.
Here's a hint when filling:
1. Remove the cap from the radiator.
2. pour 1 gal mix of coolant/water into radiator.
3. Slowly fill res tank until coolant almost spills from radiator.
4. Cap off radiator.

What brand coolant are you using?
Subaru coolant is like Nyquil.
Like mcdrama asked...do those tests first before spending all of that $70.
BTW...my earlier statement was told to me by an old German dude that used to work for Porsche.
Not the dealer, but Dr Porsche himself, back in Austria then Germany.
It's what he told me when I asked him if he thought I could remove, teardown, & rebuild a Porsche 2.7l engine all by myself.
I proved him wrong.
Man up & do it yourself.
If you **** anything up, I'm here.

I was using 50/50 of whatever I picked up, Chevron, Zerex? and another misc one.
I just picked up some Napa Extended Life that you mix with the same amount of water. I will get some Redline water wetter now also.
I am about to go drain it right now. Thanks for the offer and the advice.

Bump for a new day. I totally drained the system over night. I ran about a gallon of water through it with the entire system open this morning. I will head back home at lunch and run about 2 gallons through it and fill it up tonight after it drains again entirely. Coolant burping on the car will be fun, nawt. I think I am going to set my LC to 3k and just hold the throttle in all the way.
When you burp it the annoying part is trying to keep the throttle steady @ 3k for 10 minutes at a time.
Thanks for the filling tips Paul! So you are saying leave my small cone funnel @ the turbo res and over fill it a tad and let it run until the fans kick on? This way it dumps more into the system when the thermostat opens or soemthing? Maybe letting more bubbles out?

if you have a cobb cable or a tactrix cable you can manually increase the idle level using ECUExplorer. i've made mine go as high as 1500RPM but not 3000RPM.

Ok, double flushed @ lunch until all I got was clear water coming out the bottom where you unscrew the radiator plug. I did it one more time after just to see.
Picked up some Redline Water Wetter @ lunch also. I will fill it full of juices after I change the thermostat and burp it like a baby after too much tittay suckling.
I appreciate all the help and tips guys.

Well time to go drive this bad boy. Going to pull the back seat out at lunch as the rear is "squeaking" and I know it is the top the rear struts. I checked all the nuts and bolts on the rear susp and sway+links yesterday when I was under the car......again. So it has to be the ones behind the seat, or at least that is my best guess now. It's almost as annoying as strut clunk, it's strut squeak.
