Did I blow it?
Well you decide. Block Test Kit instructions were followed to a T.
I did it twice with the same results. First time was exactly 1 minute second time I did it for 2 minutes.
The instructions stated if there is exhaust gas present the liquid will turn YELLOW (yes it was in caps). If there is no exhaust gas the liquid will be blue.
Well I got blue green. Mostly blue but it was changed from it's original deep blue to a lighter blue with slight green hue. I am color blind so I got other to confirm my analysis.

You never used your ***** pump on you coolant before to test exhaust leaks?
LOL anyways it started around 15k ago. I had air in my coolant pushing it out the overflow. I found out after some time (and when the hose failed) that I had a split in the main radiator line at the top. I thought it was letting air in at first and when I fixed that and burped the system by following the instructions it was gone. That is for about 8-10k.
Fast forward to now and it is back. Well a few things went down and I was thinking the broken nipple on the turbo coolant res could have been slightly cracked from hitting the blow through. Maybe letting air in.
Also the hose coming off the radiator to the coolant overflow hit my AC pulley and broke there, it was undetected for a while until I smelled that sick smell of coolant and looked under the hood to see the mess.
So I replaced the hose and tried to burp. It's just pushing it out. So I had to know cuz I think I am in denial trying to get a rad cap (as my stock ones rubber seal is suspect) or see if my water pump or thermostat is done.
So I test it and get this. If this means I am good I am replacing all the coolant, changing the thermostat and the rad cap (turbo res) and refilling and burping.
If the test is bad I pull my motor and find out how much fun it is to work on a boxer
Neighbor has a cherry picker and motor stand. I got time and $70 for a gasket kit

first, you're color blind.
second, anti-freeze is green.
Does your car feel weak? Did you do a compression test? Are there any new noises?
I think for there to be a significant enough amount of fuel in your coolant for this test to be positive your car would be running like bullocks.
Do a compression test at least.

Second the coolant in the turbo res was 2-3 inches down and would not contact the end of the tester as stated int he instructions for the block test kit)
Car feels great! Compression test was done @ Subaru stealership apprx 1 month ago and got low 150's on all 4. High and low were 4lbs diff.
I appreciate the help and reply.

just drain it all. Make sure to get the turbo reservoir too.
Get a bottle of redline water wetter. 1/2 bottle water wetter ad the rest distilled water. Keep in mind anti-freeze does what it's called prevents freezing.
flush and burp the system run this test again for a solid color.
Burping the air from the coolant system is a lengthy task so take your time and do it right.

What brand coolant are you using?
Subaru coolant is like Nyquil.
Like mcdrama asked...do those tests first before spending all of that $70.
BTW...my earlier statement was told to me by an old German dude that used to work for Porsche.
Not the dealer, but Dr Porsche himself, back in Austria then Germany.
It's what he told me when I asked him if he thought I could remove, teardown, & rebuild a Porsche 2.7l engine all by myself.
I proved him wrong.
Man up & do it yourself.
If you **** anything up, I'm here.
