Cold Air Infusion...
Hi, someone suggested that I post this here...although I have already posted it in the Hawaii section...
I've had this idea for a while but was finally inspired by the "Cold Air Intake for $7" thread...
Here in Hawaii it is hot and wet (where I live). The engine bay gets very hot. This mod costs about $40-$50...including paints, hardware and other knick knacks...takes about 1 hour (except the painting).
Parts were pretty much purchased from Home Depot and Autozone (paints).
There are tons of others ideas I had in mind...
Like using the stock passenger side fog light inserts rather than cutting into the foglight covers like I did...all you would have to do with this is cut the opening just a little, add a short piece of 4" piping and connect the hose to this...or
going to a marine hardware store and purchasing a 4"-5" deckplate (you can screw the front of the cover on and off)...this is great if you live in a very watery area where the rain is crazy!
here are some pics:
I included a (before painting) pic so you could see the plastic piece better...
Thanks for the idea 500WHP.com and WREXR...
