cel help please
I installed a downpipe on my sti yesterday and now I am throwing the cel P0420 which is catalyst system efficiency below threshold. Can anyone give me a better explanation of what that means. I also have the cobb accessport and I believe there stage 2 map was suppose to remove 2 certain cel but I don't remember which one and I do not have access to a computer to search. I am posting this on my cell phone btw. I am using the stage 2 91 oct map on the ap btw. Any help appreciated.

Ok so I found out that the stage 2 map is suppose to remove cel code P0420 which is what I am throwing. Anyone know why this cel is showing up even though I have the stage 2 map reflashed on my car

I don't have a cel fix. I was under the impression that it wasn't needed with the stage 2 map since it was suppose to remove that cel code P0420

If you have no cats in the downpipe, then you are going to throw the 0420. The only way around it is to reflash it out or get one of the mechanical or electrical CEL fixes (also known as MIL eliminators). Basically, the O2 sensor in your downpipe (the one with the yellow insulation) is teling the ECU that something is wrong with your cat (probably that you don;t have one
).

Maybe try checking their forums.
