Can I run without AVCS

I have a '02 WRX with an STi 2.5L block, stock 2.0L heads, PE1820G, 3" Full turbo-back, up-pipe, ECUtek, JDM STi 6MT, APS TMIC(soon to be upgraded to APS FMIC).

I am wondering if I can use 2.5L STi heads and just not connect the AVCS electrically?
1. Will this even work?

2. Will this have any positive/negative impact on:
the longevity of the engine??
the driveability of the car??
the torque/horsepower vs what I had before??

Thanks

Did you try and check out some researches on Nasioc?? To my understanding that the only differences is the USDM has a few less wires on the harness compared to the JDM harness and these wires are for the AVCS. Your motor will run without AVCS, its just that you cant rev to 8k. Try and contact interantional B or iNfEk as they both have the JDM 207 w/avcs swap.
