Do you run with or without a front plate?
Post up, and where you live. I'm curious if you've gotten a ticket or pulled over for it too. (Or if nothing has ever happened)
Personally, as much as I want to run without one...I have mine on because I do not want that to be a reason for me to get pulled over.

I run with a front plate. Don't want any trouble I guess.
I think the main thing with putting your front plate on the dash is if you have to turn or brake hard, the plate might become a deadly projectile. So I guess if you don't want the plate on the front of your car, might as well put it under the seat or something.

Recently I ran a front plate on my RS coupe, and my Justy has one that I didn't take off yet but aside from that - no front plate, 10 years of CA driving in August, lived in San Carlos, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara and Los Gatos, never got a front plate ticket or pulled over for no front plate. Last weekend I was with a friend in SF who got pulled over for no front plate. Odd.

No front plate. Never been hassled much for it either. I've been pulled over multiple times as well without the officer saying anything about it. I have had something said to me when we were in a big group up on Mt Hammy, but my hood was already popped to let crap cool and the cop looked but didn't see anything. :-D
I have also been pulled over for speeding when I was running a straight dump tube from my downpipe and the officer didn't say anything about it either.
In Los Altos/Mountain View.

No front plate. I have never gotten pulled over for not having one but i did get a ticket for one. I got one helluva parking ticket, 18" from the curb, no front plate, expired meter. It was like 200 bucks. Im all over the peninsula.
i live in san francisco....i have my front plate on but every single one of my friends that lives here as well and DOESN'T run with a front plate has been pulled over AND ticketed for it...multiple times. maybe it's just SFPD... one of them even went to their car in the morning after it had been parked all night and found a ticket on the windshield for not having their front plate >.<
I got a no front plate ticket in SF the day after i took that sticker out of the window of the car when it was new.... i also got a modified exhaust ticket, for my stock muffler..... AWESOME SFPD
I ran without it for a while but it just gave cops a reason to pull me over even if I was driving within the rules. Since I'm catless now I dont like to give reasons to get pulled over.
well I run with a plate but it's angled. Never any real problems with it here in fairfield/vacaville area but...in the penninsula like in burlingame/foster city cops for anything to pull you over. I got in trouble with it in burlingame
