safe to run up, dp, and cbe without a cobb ap?

right now, im running a helix catless uppipe and downpipe with my catback exhaust. im planning on selling my cobb ap to a buddy and i wanted to make sure i would be good to go without it. i know im goin to lose around 10+ horsepower without the tune, but i need the money for other things. will i be fine running a up, dp, and cbe exhaust on its own? i heard, yes... but i want to get a consensus.

you should be fine, but your car will run like crap because at that point it will be untuned and most likely running REALLY rich. So it may act like it wants to die and have a rough idle, but it shouldn't hurt anything. Although it may foul your spark plugs alot sooner from running rich.

I would tell you now, if you drive you car, and I mean drive it, with the mods you have keep the tune. My motor blew at 27k with those mods. It was believe d to be oil starvation and prolonged detonation. The factory time laps between closed and open loop under boost will destroy engines. Not to discredit other opinions (you know what they say). IMO if you are going to drive your car, regardless of mods, you should have that blip tuned out.

yeah, I forgot that the 04 & 05 wrx's should be tuned with those mods. like ipozestu says, the blip can cause pinging which isnt good. the 02 and 03's dont really have that issue

Funny; Mike is the one that dianosed my rod knock and said I can't believe that happened with those mods.
What I am saying is; I was told that I could run those mods without a tune by many folks. On an '05 Wagon with 27K, I'm stuck with a blown motor. Here I sit without a car since 12/15/06. I had a APS 3" TBE, PDE uppipe, and Gruppe-s V2 manifold (installed appx 500 mile before failure).
