Sounds like you just need a reliable dd for the week you can always count on. Then you can go crazy on the suby build for weekend fun.

Let me ask you guys this, if you guys were gonna sell your 02-05 built subaru. With low miles. What would you ask for it? Like impossible to get an idea of what your car is worth with a built motor

Fist off building a 4-500 whp on only 91 is different than using the help of meth or e85.... Squeezing 500whp on 91 is going to be tough. Id go e85 personally.

93, and I would do e85 but it's so hard to find here in Pittsburgh

Dont make me add that all up . Your talking new engine, bigger brakes, supporting drivetrain, suspension....

Also you will need better gas then 93oct for the power levels your talking about.

Check out Dyno Database Online

Its a pretty cool database of different setups on their dyno. Search for the turbo you want to run to give you an idea of what similar setups are hitting.

just a rough idea not the actual number you would sell for.

My goal is to hit 400awhp and keep the torque as close to the horsepower, or over, if possible.

The resale isnt high on built cars. Ive seen some of them go from 18-25k on average, with newer years going for a bit more. I would never buy someone else's project though. You never know what you might be getting until later down the road.

Jeez man that's harsh. I Used to dd my bugeye every day to and from school. I had zero problems with my old setup. Which was fp16g turbo, pink injectors, 255 fuel pump, bigger intercooler, up and downpipe, headers, ecbs. All tuned up proper. Car was a blast compared to stage II, the mods were just basic bolt ons, and reliable. Never had problems on my commute. Don't be scared to take your dd well past "stage 2"

except a rotated 3076r with .82 housing and 4 inch inlet, it's a bit of a different story

My setup is not at all crazy. It is tuned very conservative as I am on a stock bottom ended hybrid but I am making 357/330 on a mustang. When I say conservative I mean not what it could make on the dom3xtr with e85.

That being said I am in the process of building another motor sleeved forged with head work. That will go in and I will make more power, but the second that motor is in I will start building the next one for when I blow that one.

When you get in the 400-500 hp range I think it can be done reliably for a good amount of time with quality parts but you gotta be prepared for when somthing lets go like a head gasket, a seal here and there.

Just read this and realized I stated somthing very obvious but will leave it up here just cause.
