As far as I remember, the 4g63 was designed for the original DSM's ( Eclipse/Talon/Laser ) and the AWD galants.

the 3000GT/Stealths were always V6's

The 4g63 was originally found in the Mitsubishi Starion GST and the Chrysler/Dodge Conquest TSi rwd
