heh, the vendors that Gruppe-S uses for building, Mike set the accounts up with!!! Haha, least as far as I know, but yeah, Mike will take care of you. Even if it's just a little more than Gruppe-S, it's the piece of mind that counts.

i know downpipe is a bigger reason for damage than the catback, but would a catback alone mess with the tuning?

I wonder how many of your posts are "...". A catback isn't going to mess with the engine or effect tunning or anything, unless its super restrictive. The downpipe is where most of the restriction comes from. If you swap the catback, you might notice slightly better response but its not going to be huge or anything. So have you set up a date with GST yet?

not to flame, but damn...

First of all your grammar really sucks. It would be easier to read if you typed it all in backwards...

Secondly, how the hell were you driving your car??? Did you beat the hell out of it EVERYTIME you drove?

Thirdly, don't modify your car without upgrading its brains... As seen at the GST Dyno Day, the 06-07 wrx/sti's have crappy stock maps. They run like **** from the factory, which is why tuning would be worth it on a stock 06-07. But you upgraded the uppipe, turbo back, etc., and didnt get a tune... Have you seen how crappy your car's stock map looks? Ask the guys at GST... the 06-07 stock maps aren't pretty...

Good luck with getting it fixed, hopefully you wont drive it like such a maniac if you want it to last... and get a tune!

I am having a hard time understanding you, but I am sure many say that about me too I think what happened here is you didn't get your car tuned. You can't just go throwing parts on a F/I engine and not tune for them Sorry for your misfurtune. Sounds like that motor saw a very high rpm 30k. Mine has been beat on too for 38k but I always check oild and fluids and have a tune. I am also going the built motor route. Too bad they weren't forged from the factory like we were told

If you kept going WOT and overboosting you could have damaged the internals due to the fuel cut going on so many times.

'06 plastic mm are a known issue man. They break on everyone and that's why they ditched them and are using the '05 type again.

If it makes u feel better, there was one guy on Evolutionm.net that blew his Evo up a while back with like 30k miles on his car. He had a TBE with no flash too.
