06 STi 3 days old. CEL + Flashing Cruise
i say go get the codes pulled and then 'reset' the computer. see if they come back. if they dont find of what the codes were for and be wary(sp? lol) and check for problems anyways.
if it comes back when you use cruise control or when the low fuel light comes back on.
what you should really do is take it to a reputable dealership and tell them whats going on. =P

Hmmm this happened to me actually, but I am pushing 350+whp now. I will go see if it is the gas cap, although I think it may be overboost...18 PSI.
Last time it happened to me I had a 1/4 tank of gas and was hitting 100 comeing out of turn eight at roebling road in Georgia. By the time I hit the start finish line, the air bubble hit the injectors. Loud noise and loss of power, blinking cruise and cel light came on. Reset it, that was it. I figured out that I get about 2.3 laps for every gallon of gas
I had that happen to me once before. I reset my cel codes using my cobb ap but after that it never happened again. My verdict for the problem though, is overboosting.

I know this is an old thread but I was driving 1 south today at about 85mph and my car felt like it coughed. At that time the CEL came on and the cruise light was blinking. I pulled the CEL code P0244, which is wastegate/turbo related. I reset the ECU and did a few WOT pulls and had no problems. My boost guage was showing that I peaked at 18.5psi so I am pretty sure I had a slight boost creep.
Maybe its time for a pro-tune.

nope, its just because it was cold and I was WOT. Its not to common, but does happen when running a TBE catless, K&N intake, and STi intercooler. Car is fine now and nothing is broken or busted. Will be protuning soon.
cruise i know should only come on if modified parts without ECU mod. and as for gas for me i usually get 92oct becuz 93oct is like 25miles away from where i live (too lazy) plus what is difference in 1 gonna do?
