Maybe I just read all the threads instead of modifying my car. So if 50 guys say using a blow off valve screwed up their motor does that mean nothing until I find out for myself that it in fact does something wrong? When you were kid and your parents told you not to play with fire did you think that it my be untrue and you had to stick your hand in an open flame to find out it was in fact very hot?

Now, to tell you the truth I did have a blow off valve for over a year on my WRX. It caused me to backfire a lot and it obviously confused the ecu. Sometimes the Bov would go off when I shifted and sometimes it wouldn't. It all depended on how much pressure I built but the ECU isn't smart enough to predict when the bov would or wouldn't go off. But you know what if you read my sarcastic post earlier I recommended a bov to you because if you are willing to only take the advice you want to hear then you deserve to screw up your car. Good Luck.

And why can't I preach my ideals? He came here looking for advice, so I gave him ideal advice.
I don't think hockeygod was referring to your post pyro, I think he was discrediting this one:

i have read what peps have said and i dont see how there car wont run right with a blow off valve,... my car seems to be doing good and nothing compares to what the chicks think when it purges that air off between shifts..my car doesnt idle funny or anything.... and also i just installed my accessport today and anyone that is not impressed with the cobb s tuning accessport would b crazy.. i love it .. im just on stage 1 93 octane and my car is boosting anywhere from 15.8 in 2 and 3rd gear to 16. something in the rest of the gears... it has way more power threw the mid range and i think its one badd ace mod... u should quit wasting ur money on suspension bc when im through beefing up my motor u lll only wish u spent that money on something for extra horses.. but seriously i think u should think about purchasing one and finding out 4 ur self... its one awesome feeling when ur sti throws u back in the seat harder than it ever has b4..
