i have read what peps have said and i dont see how there car wont run right with a blow off valve,... my car seems to be doing good and nothing compares to what the chicks think when it purges that air off between shifts..my car doesnt idle funny or anything.... and also i just installed my accessport today and anyone that is not impressed with the cobb s tuning accessport would b crazy.. i love it .. im just on stage 1 93 octane and my car is boosting anywhere from 15.8 in 2 and 3rd gear to 16. something in the rest of the gears... it has way more power threw the mid range and i think its one badd ace mod... u should quit wasting ur money on suspension bc when im through beefing up my motor u lll only wish u spent that money on something for extra horses.. but seriously i think u should think about purchasing one and finding out 4 ur self... its one awesome feeling when ur sti throws u back in the seat harder than it ever has b4..
It sounds like you have found your "niche." Everyone has their own preferences on to what they enjoy. A Blow-off valve, while being nearly pointless on a stock car, does sound "Hella tight, yo." If you would like my advice, I would say cash the BOV, save up for a nice Turbo-Back exhaust. You will be much happier.

On the AP note; I do believe the AP is a fine piece of equipment, and is an excellent choice for Engine Management. Used in conjunction with a new exhaust, this can garnish quite a nice power gain, which sounds like what you want.

It sounds like you only want to hear want you want and nothing else. So you can do a little research by learning your car and understanding what mods do or take my quick advice:

-keep your bov, good quick hp.
-get an intake (can be had off ebay for a good price)
-get a boost controller
-dont get a tbe, we don't want the cops knowing STi owners are modded (cops can be mean about modded cars, don't know why ) and you'll get power by removing the silencer like running a straight pipe.

For the boost controller you will notice quick gains, Manual boost controller's are cheap and you can just turn the boost up as high as you can. Obviously MBC's are smart ones because you can use your own knowledge to determine how much boost you want. If you're going this route you don't have to bother with tuning.

This is a good start if you want to mod right out of the box before the car is broken in. If you are interested in learning about your car then don't take my advice and find out for yourself what you need.

I will disagree.
-Don't keep the BOV until you need it, i.e. after a new turbo setup.
-Don't get an intake, the STi one is more than capable form the factory.
-Boost controllers are great, just make sure you know what you're doing when you operate them.
-DO get a TBE, it will give you great power with minimal hassle. As for Cops, unless you live in a state which forbids exhaust modification, it isn't realyl an issue. and even if you do, it is usually a "fix-it" ticket, and can not be a moving violation. Removing the intake silencer is great, just be aware you will not garner much performance from it.

Engine Management and Exhaust should be a concern, but wait until you hit 1k miles and the break in period is over with.

Sorry, I just thought he was a little rude because he wasn't getting the anreswers he wanted to hear. I agree with the others that he should wait until it is broken in, find out whats missing on the car and then modify. Its fast out of the box and has great handling... he hasn't even said why he needs to improve the car. Drag? Auto-X?...

Eh, probably just street racing.

Its kind of sad that he has all this power but can't even understand how a blow off valve throws off a/f and thinks its great for grabbing "chicks" attention.

I think if you want an sti for straight line speed thats fine but dont rip on guys who decide that these are great handling cars, and are probably better at handling then straight line speed anyways, and decide to use it for that purpose. I we all wanted a car for straight line im sure the sti wouldnt be the first choice. Pulling one full g of force laterally is more of a rush to some people than a 300hp or 350hp car can give you. Its fine that you like the power mods you spent your money on but please dont trash the other guys and tell them they are wasting their money on suspension. It only reflects your ignorance. This board is open to all ideas and thoughts of its members. Im glad your happy your with your car just dont preach your ideals.

Can you please refer to when I said suspension was a waste of money?

And why can't I preach my ideals? He came here looking for advice, so I gave him ideal advice.
