You are missing the point here -- you can't keep the stock scoop, it doesn't let in enough air regardless of whether there is a splitter or not.
If you need a splitter for an 04 STI scoop, I'll sell it to you for $40.00 + postage.

+1 on the scoop/splitter issue. I actually have a jdm v7 sti tmic on my car, you're more than welcome to check out how my splitter is when the hood is closed.
