WRX TMIC to STi TMIC

I will be taking out my WRX TMIC and replacing it with the STi TMIC to go along with my other mods currently on the car. my question is once the STi tmic is installed is it necessary to run STi splitter and shroud? basically will tehre be enough air flow with the wrx ones, or might it get too hot under there? Thanks in advance

It's "Better" if you have the splitter and shroud. How much is subjective.
You might need to get different hoses from the Turbo to intercooler and Intercooler to intake manifold.

There are some decent threads on NASIOC about this. Would definately look into it before you pull off the WRX TMIC.

Look through this thread:

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=952204

I followed the recommended advice on the Hose Techniques Hoses and had no problems.

No, it will be too tall. You need a STi hood scoop to use the STi splitter.

If you are installing a STI TMIC than
I would also go with a STI hood scoop because it is slightly taller
and will let more air in and make the STI TMIC more effective.

what year is your WRX?? the 06 hood scoop is the same size as the STI so it would work. According to subaru parts department they wont, even though the dimensions are the same. If anything go with a zero sports spliter.

splitter will be too tall for the wrx hood scoop. you'll need the sti scoop.
