at what level is it necessary to change or improve your ignition coils for each cylinder. how much hp can the factory coils go up to. the more your boost the more energy the spark needs. can you add some type of booster or get custom coils made. any help would be great. i am running out of time.

If I were in the market for an ignition upgrade, I'd probably give MSD (Autotronic Controls Corporation) a call. I believe they have ignition boxes that can work with distributorless ignition systems like what we have on the WRX.

Bump because I'm also interested. I don't believe any of the MSD products work with our cars yet. However, I could be wrong. Tag for more info.
