Whats the best way to spend $500
I am looking to buy some performance parts or exterior parts for my WRX. I have about $500 to spend what do you recommend I buy. I want to make the car a bit quicker high to mid 13's, while keeping the emmissions relatively stock so I kind of want to stay away from exhaust mods, I hear they affect emmissions. Thanks

1. MBC (DIY $15-$20; shop $50-$60)
2. Forget about tires. You can't get a good set for $500 (shipped with mounting and balancing) You don't need it anyways. I've run an MBC with stock RE92's to a 13.61 (I know others have done better) with 1.79, 1.83, 1.84 60 fts.
3. Take the money you saved and gamble at the street races, You should be able to double it before people get wise. J/K by now the WRX is known, unless you live in an area that likes NASCAR. Then go for it.
Side note: I've heard that with an MBC you'll see excessive exhaust gas temps. Thats why I took mine off. Its still good for track days just not everyday driving.

you asked about go fast parts or exterior mods. Okay I will say wear out your re92's before replacing them just to be different, though I got rid of mine after a few thousand miles.
you could get a used uni-chip and and a gruppe-S upipe a DIY boost controller for about 500 or a bit more.
