Here is a good read on high egt's and what people have done to try to fix the problem http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...ht=channel+egt.

Sorry about that, I forgot to post the link (bangs head on desk), I edited the post and included the link this time.

I cant help you with the question about the heads since I have no experience modding above 285 hp but Ron at axis knows a lot about makeing big power and he would be a great person to talk to.

Here is a shop that sells used JDM sti motors and trannies http://www.finelineimports.net/subaru_usedengines.htm.

PS- oh yeah, what about heads- are the stock ones workable or are they boat anchors? If not, what should I look for? Damn, I have been too spoiled by the DSM's lol..
i'd say a usdm or jdm sti head would be great becuse of the AVCS.

Tranny problems can be solved with an 5sp STi RA gearset and stock 5th gear and new syncros(usdm). That is what i am going with when my tranny blows. I would stay away from NOS on the stock motor. Also as said before, if you use the FP green on the 2.0 you will need engine work. You would get more power out of a VF34 and accessories with no block work and it would be reliable. If you rally want big power go to Esx. They use axis engines. link:http://www.easystreetmotorsports.com/
