Water Wetter in Intercooler?

Can anyone think of a reason for me not to put Water Wetter into my intercooler?

I already have it in my engine cooling system, and have used it for years in other projects. I just want to make sure there isn't some goofy chemical in my intercooler system that will interact with the Water Wetter in a bad way.

You have the factory air-to-water intercooler? Doe the Water Wetter bottle state if there are some metals to be avoided? If not, send Red Line an email.

All wrx's have air to air intercoolers stock. Dumping water wetter in to the intercooler would be VERY BAD. It is a good theory because an air to water i/c are more efficient than air to air, but it would not work. You don't want water wetter in your combustion chamber.

water wetter is a disrupter for the molecules in water that stick to metal creating a barrier over the metal taking cooling away from your car . add water wetter and it will break the barrier to allow better cooling .

my 2.5 cents

Adding Redline WaterWetter in with your coolant can lower
your temps 10-30* witch is good if you live in a hot climate.

well if you think about it , water may already be going into your engine .

take something hot , cool it on the outside . wouldn't condensation build up inside the intercooler then sucking it into the motor .

codensation only builds up if the temperature is below the dew point, which i'm sure is going to be way lower than the termperature of the intercooler.

I should have noticed that there are no coolant lines going to the I/C
Say the coolant fill tank there and just assumed.
So next project... design a air/water I/C setup.

You could do that. The stock intercooler is very efficient though.
