vishnu stage 0
hi guys,
i am planing my mods for when i get my wrx...april hopefully. i am doing a little research and would like your guys input on the subject. i would like to purchase the vishnu stage 0 (not sub 0 ) but i am worried about a couple of things
+reliability
+how easy these mods are to remove incase something happens and i need to go to the dealer
+affect daily driveabilty.
bassically i just want/need to know if my car can hold up for 100K miles with these mods? and maybe if there are some mods that "safe gaurd" my future car. also, i am familiar a little iwth superchargers and not turbo chargers. when increasing boost in a supercharger you need to be carefull about the rods in the engine...is the same true for a turbo charger? lastly..will the tranny holdup well to this much power? thanks for your help guys.

1. reliability- Vishnu is about the best in the business for reliability. They tune conservatively and make great parts.
2. Everything except the uppipe is pretty easy. That's going to take some work. It might be easier to find a *nice* dealer.
3. No effect other than getting you to work quicker. Totally drivable
Your concerns are valid, but with a few safeguards, you'll be OK.
1. Set your boost for 15psi and no touchy. No turbo problems.
2. No worries about the rods. Subaru engines are strong.
3. This much power will not have any negligible effect on your tranny. Until you start hitting ~350 or so you should be just fine. If you tear it up hard when you go to work (i.e. launching from stoplights or doing something stupid like revving and not letting the clutch slip) you may burn your clutch a little prematurely. Otherwise you'll be just fine.
Vishnu Stage 0 is about the tamest upgrade you can do. You should have NO WORRIES.

Actually. . you won't have to worry about adjusting boost as the new Stage kits get a remapped Ecutek ECU so the stock FBC controls boost.
I have Stage 1 and absolutely love it. Very smooth and reliable. It's amazing the way it transforms the car. You'll love Stage 0 as well. . .only difference is Stage 1 has a turboback exhaust. I also have Samco intercooler hoses so it's something like a Stage 1b setup.
