Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

I have an 05 wrx with up-pipe, downpipe, cat back exhaust and intake.
I was thinking about buying a vf34, sti injectors, and a fuel pump.
Is there anything else i would need besides the tuning to make it work?

I would get a bigger top mount such as an aps or turboxs.

the bigger tmic could always be added on later, the stock ic will still be good for now

but to answer your questions for the vf34 upgrade, you've got the answer already.

injectors, fuel pump, turbo, and a tune.

I've had the vf 34 since march along with all the supporting mods. Boost starts to drop just below 6000 rpms. I recently added the gruppe-s header and makes a very noticable differnce. I got tired of the 34 kind of quick. So if I were you I would either get headers with the 34, or save up for a better turbo like the 16g or the 18g. However if I was to get one of the IHI turbos, I would get the vf 22. It spools up a bit later than the 30 and the 34 but its top end is much better.

How much were you boosting with the vf34? The 18g is just too much for my car to handle.

The 34 can do 18 lbs. of boost with no problem. It drps off at the top though. You may want to look into the super 16g. I understand it has quick spool up and has has the top end potential of the 18g. Your stock EJ 20 can handle the 18g. The important thing is to have a good safe tune. Search around you'll find many running the 18g on the EJ 207.
