i was wondering if anyone on here is running either one of these. If so, what kind of power are you making? What else do you done to the motor? What size injectors? What kind of ECU or chip? Please let me know. Thanks in advance. Or if you think I should think about other turbos please let me know.

Shawn, before you go ahead and get the PE1820, you might want to look into the APS turbos. I have seen dyno graphs and the APS SR 40 has much less lag without any loss of the top end compared to the APS 1820. I also talked to one person with the PE series, and he said that he had a very hard time getting it up to full boost and it was very difficult for a street car to use that kind of turbo. I know that Cobb used to offer the APS turbos, but now they are no longer an APS distributor. Try a google search for the APS SR40 turbo, and se what you can find out. Just my suggestion.

Hey Andy what mods do you and your buddy have? What are you guys running for ems? What swayed your buddy into the "dark side"? Was it the kick in pants or just better overall performance? Last question, where do you spool up compared to your buddy's VF34. Thanks for answering all these questions.

I was just thinking about this but in regards to the pe1818 vs. vf-34. What is the difference in spool time between the two with all the supporting mods? Would it be noticable?
PE1818F has about same lag as VF30. Not sure about VF34. As for the 1820 it has killer top end punch with slightly more lag than the VF30/PE1818F. I think if you're concerned about lag than go for the PE1818F. It still has killer power potential (MUCH more than a VF30/34). You'll want a FMIC and some tuning time to get the most out of it but wow is it fun. Here's an example of PE1818F with the basic mods and a Blitz FMIC. This is at 19 PSI with a Unichip for tuning.

The blue line is stock WRX. After driving a few different VF30 cars I gotta say they feel awefully soft. Not anywhere near as viscious as my car did with the PE1818F.

With my stock top mount, boost is 3500ish with a MASSIVE isht and get kick at around 4500.
With the FMIC, it is slightly more latent, but has even more of a kick in the pants.
I am running 3" TB Blitz FMIC Blitz LM Intake STi Injectors Ported Header up-pipe Blitz SBC-id(Gen 1)and a stock ECU.
He has a full VS2 with a Unichip (260 Dyno Dynamics WHP(300+ Dyno Pak)). He is the VS2 prototype car.
I am just me...my own custom built kit.
Keep in mind that I have better gearing. Those of you that know me know why!
