FWIW we have never ever seen a uppipe without a cat give a CEL ineffiecieny code, if you have the stock downpipe cats and you change the uppipe to a catless one the rear O2 sensor reads just fine at the back of the downpipe and will not give a CEL.

If you have a catted uppipe and you swap out the downpipe cats with a catless downpipe you will get a CEL without a CEL fix.

The majority of O2 related CEL's are generated by the post turbo cat's being removed not the pre turbo cat.

In a nut shell the Helix Uppipe does not give you a CEL, it even comes with a correctly placed EGT bung so the stock EGT sensor can be reused.

P.S Any car running catless post turbo without a CEL is basically a CEL about to happen (check the pending logs with a O2 scanner) so when you add a Catless uppipe (using no CEL fix) no matter who's brand it is you will get a CEL.

I personally have ran 3 different uppipes, it has never thrown a CEL, only time the cel came on, was when I went from a Godspeed DP to a Cusco(Godspeed DP never threw a cel because it has a mini cat in the bung that kept the sensor hot enough). But a 02 Simulator fixed that.

btw, all the uppipes I have ran were, Helix Prototype(very first one that was made), Helix Production, and now Helix Flex. Never had a CEL cause by the catless uppipe.

I ran a catless Perrin, threw a cell, put the 2,2k@5w resistor in and never had it again. Now I have a Helix in there... left the fix in.

Helix flex is the way to go... another vote for Helix!

That would be a different CEL than what people are talking about here though mate, the CEL for lack of EGT probe in the Uppipe is not related to CAT ineffiecieny 'sp'.

Something worth noting here is that when going catless in the uppipe you are better off without the probe going back in due to the design of the probe making it rely on protection from the CAT, when you remove the CAT it would seem that the probes suffer the additional direct heat and can distintergrate thus causing turbo issues. This is not something we had paid much thought to recently until it was explained to us by a Subaru master tech.

I've never gotten a cell with decatted stock uppipe and have not heard of anyone else either. Are you guys talking about earlier STI uppipes that had no provision for EGT sensor?
