USDM WRX head casting question...???
Are they the same as a EJ206 (Non AVCS) STi heads.
I am talking CASTINGS ONLY! I know that the valves, springs, and cams are different.
The reason that I am asking is because I am going to build up some heads...on the cheap...
How does STi valves, and JUN cams, JUN Ti retainers, JUN valve springs, JUN cam gears bolted up to a JDM closed deck BUILT EJ22 with a EJ25 crank sound to you...it sounds mighty tantalizing to me...
I think that it can be done for under 5 grand... A big bore EJ that can sing up on top with the best of them...I want an 8k RPM redline...my friend in AUS is running a similar setup...and his car is one bad machine.
Thoughts...and inputs on the heads are appreciated...
