Uppipe Installation

OKAY guys, imma smack a GUTTED UPPIPE in my 04 wrx this weekend but i need to know how to prevent the CEL. So far i've been doing my HOMEWORK but i am also getting confused.

first i will need a 1/2watt 2.2k oHm resistor
- does any one have pics before adding the resistor and after?

then what do i need to plug in the BUNG in the pipe?

whether you plug the bung up is up to you. If you just replace the EGT probe, you won't need the resistor. If you plug the hole, you will need the resistor. It doesn't matter which orientation you place the resistor (if you plug the hole and thus, need it).

oh... to plug the bung, use a bolt... Just screw it in...

anyone know the exact size for the bolt to plug in the bung for an OEM SUBARU WRX UPPIPE?

relax man, no need to stress... just take the thing to home depot and try some bolts out

you can also go to auto zone, kragen or any other auto parts store i think the size is 12M the threading is very fine i think 1.25 not shure. good luck oh and yes plug up the bung instead of using the old sensor dont want that sensor breaking off and getting into your turbo.

m12x1.25 30mm long bolt for the EGT bung.
Put some JB weld on the threads, torque it tight and done.

Car Info: STi Motor Mounts, Synthetic Fluids, nothing else yet

JBweld is a devil... use the bolt (cut to the correct size if neccessay), add a copper crush washer and red lok-tite it down and leave for 24hours.

hey i have a question, i bought the botl measurements from this auto place, m12x1.25 but when i twist it on, after 2 rotations it jams, possibly the threads, wat should i do?!?!
