Heya
When I say I know nothing about vehicular mechanics, I mean it. However I'm definitely interested in learning! My car's in rough shape, and I haven't done anything serious yet. I've heard that the best things to start with are brakes, headers, intake, and exhaust. But my clutch needs to be replaced too!
I was just wondering which parts in particular would be best to look at? I've heard good things about StopTech's brakes and AEM's cold air intakes, but aside from hearsay I've got no experience with this kind of thing.

hey there!
I see you're in Oahu? check out the regional hawaii forum on this board, we meet weekly and always welcome new people to the meets (Ward Starbucks this friday night, 8-whenever)
the best way to learn is to read read read and ask questions (notice readx3 before asking lol, usually there's an article out there to help you already)
anyway, welcome! hope to catch you at a meet!
tesh
and your order of work is pretty good - everyone will have an opinion of where to start and how much to spend, but based on how you'll use it, your mods will follow - first get that clutch done!

Thank you! I'll certainly try to make it. But I feel kind of embarrassed since my car's in such bad shape. There's dents, the carpet's dirty since it didn't come with mats, and I don't even know anything about it aside from the basics.
