ride5000, you will be proven wrong. It will be all the tweakability of UTEC, but with the smarts of the OEM ECU doing the fine tuning. You set a target, and the ECU figures out how to get to that target, keeping safety in mind.

well, i sincerely do hope we have another option out there; competition is always a good thing!

in the meantime (and i suspect that there will be a not-inconsiderable amount of waiting left to do) i am enjoying tweaking my own utec.

who knows... you could be hit by a bus tomorrow and look at all the fun you've missed sitting on your hands waiting for a promise?

carpe diem!

or you could by the accesport now and then only pay the difference to upgrade to the tuner

Personally, I like the fact that I can follow a mod "ladder" and find it assuring that there will be a map to download. I know all vehicles are unique and fine tweaking of the ECU and mods are what brings the real power. Will you think that this will replace all the shops that dyno and fine tune the vehicles? If the AccessTUNER showes all vitals of the vehicle, temps, HP, Torque, why bring it to a shop to spend a few hundred bucks when you can do it yourself?

In all, Cobb products have been great to me!!!

I don't think the accesstuner will ship with this much functionality. Now there might be additional addons you can buy, but come on this whole thing is clever marketting by Cobb more than anything else. The ability to be modular.
