Yeah, but that defeats much of the purpose of the UTEC. I live in an area where temperature changes drastically, and I change several thousand feet of elevation often. With the UTEC I can say I want 15.5 psi at 4500 RPM/100 TPS and get 15.5 PSI all the time. The only problem is that, from a launch, boost comes on slower than my stock setup. I am going to try and remove the ABC and see what happens.

 

The slow spool time of the unichip had nothing to do with the ABC, it was directly related to the Unichip...

On a properly tuned closed loop UTEC (i.e. not too rich in the low RPM range) you'll find boost response as fast as or faster than the HPMBC.

This of course assumes that the FBC is in working order.

Correct again Nathan. I removed my ABC and noticed no improvement. When I replaced it I noticed that I had a small crack in my vacuum hose. I replaced it with some leftover silicone hose from my BOV. Boost now builds up like it used to.
