turbo back w/ 2 hi flo cats?
turbo back w/ 2 hi flo cats?
I am looking to get a hold of Stromung axle back and an access port as one of my first mods. In the future however, I am looking to do an uppipe, turbo back, and a vf 34 turbo setup. My question is would I be able since I have an existing axleback would I be able to buy the rest of an exhaust (ie 3rd pipe, mid pipe, DP) w/ 2 high flow cats? I would love to go catless but I need to keep my ride smog legal, and I don't like destroying the earth anymore than I do in my current line of work.
You can always pick up exhaust parts a-la-carte. You just may have fitment issues with different manufactures. Technically speaking, you are in violation of federal law by removing or damageing any functioning cat. But if you are just worried about passing emissions, one hi-flow cat will get you to pass. There are many down pipes that come with a cat in the system.
Turbo XS, Cobb, Stromung, Perrin, Bosal (it allows you to keep the stock 3rd cat in place). I would deffinately recommend either gutting your up-pipe or buying one w/o a cat. If you are just getting an axle back now, make sure you can pick up a mid pipe that will mate up when you get your down-pipe.

Thanks man, I am looking at a few things now and I think this will work. It may be just worth it to go with a cat back instead of just an axle back for the future.
