Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

High-Flo Cat

Right now i'm running catless, with a perrin uppipe and helix dp. I was thinking about running a high flow cat from random technologies to relieve some paranoia that i have when driving around. Would it work if i welded the high flow cat to the long midpipe (the pipe after where the original 3rd cat was) or does it have to be part of the helix downpipe?

Not exactly optimal, but better than nothing. Cats work better the hotter they get, so being a little more downstream will decrease the cat's efficiency but still better than nothing.

If it is downstream it should get rid of the smell right? The stink is my biggest concern.

Most likely, it will work best after the car warms up, so still a little stinky after you start it up.

The same thread pretty much, here

I feel exactly the same way and am currently looking for a cat small enough to fit in this space.
