is it too late for me to start modding my engine (02 w/ 60k miles)?
So right now my whole powerplant is completely stock, except for a desnorkelized intake. I was thinking of going with a Cobb stage 1 or stage 2 setup, but have a couple of concerns:
1) Are there any problems with adding the Cobb Accessport on a 4 year old WRX running the stage 1 91 oct. map?
2) Since my car will start needing biennial smog checks starting 2 years from now, I don't think I want to deal with constantly switching from modified TBE to stock every 2 years. What are my TBE options (if any) w/ respect to these annoying smog checks?

1) You shouldn't have any problems. Make sure to keep up on your maintenance though. Check all fluids regularly and possibly invest in some gauges for extra safety...mainly boost and egt.
2) In CA there aren't any options. You're stuck with a cat-back as the only legal exhaust mod.
