When to start modding?
im abt to finish the break in period(1k miles) on my 06 WRX. is it safe to start modding now(DP & CB) or should i wait for more mileage?
Its time
If you are going to mod the exhuast (downpipe) buy the accessport. I would buy the acessport first actually. Changing things without tuning the ecu isnt good on the 2004+ subies

^^^Yup...
I started modding mine after the break in....PDE Downpipe and B&B catback...then soon after, the Cobb AP...
I have since change my 04 STI quite a bit...to include a GT Spec II Header and APS 3.5" TBE...
I am currently awaiting custom maps from PDXTuning to compensate for my Header and TBE combo...It will be a healthy increase over the Cobb AP Stage II maps...can't wait...
BTW...once you start "MODDING", it will never end...

Minor modifications like an exhaust aren't really going to affect anything during the break in period. I had 1,000 miles on my 06' STI when I put my Invidia v3 catless downpipe and greddy evo2 cat-back.
