I still don't understand completely why the EWG cannot work with stock boost control. It should go something like this right?

Engine: "I am currently WOT in 5th gear, 2500 RPM and climbing"
Turbo: "I am nearing peak boost"
Computer: "easy *****, WG, put a leash on that sucka"
Wastegate opens to stabilize turbine speed

Now, the only issue I can see with the EWG then is that it is fricken gigantic compared to the IWG, so maybe I would bleed off too much boost? That sounds annoying, but hardly dangerous to the engine.
