Cusco Engine Mount Questions...
Ok, so I searched scoobymods, nasioc, and i-club with no avail.
I just had a shop install my Cusco engine and tranny mounts, everything is back in now, but the pitch rod is about an inch away from where it connect on the engine side. I can't find anyone else with this problem.
Any insight could help.

The shop must have installed something incorrectly. I had no issues with my Cusco engine and tranny mounts. I don't know what they could have done wrong though - it's pretty straight foward.

HAHAHA, I hate you PAUL!!!
Anyway, this is what they said:
The bracket on the transmission on my GC STi tranny was a different size. They put the bracket from my tranny on it and everything worked fine. I drove it around today and I must say I love how it feels now.
I feel so relieved that everything is good now.

They are necessary when your old ones go out. Since they are made of soft rubber they can wear out, but it'll take a while.
Your stockers are soft so when you shift, or accelerate your engine and tranny kinda bounce around on the mounts. If you want less drivetrain loss and better handling, then you have to remove some of the creature comforts.
By installing harder mounts there will be more vibration in the car and some extra noise in the cabin.
I enjoyed them a lot, but it's not for everyone.
As for the cost, you can get Group N mounts from STi for cheaper than the Cusco mounts that I got. I got quite the deal on mine, but you can expect to pay anywhere from 200 to 400 dollars. Install is a PITA also.
