Thinking of getting the Cobbtuning ECU

So back to the topic... Cobb Tuning's newest creation the AccessECU... So here's my dilema... Vishnu's stage path looks so much more appealing that Cobb's...
If I were just in for an ECU upgrade Cobb would be perfect, but if I want more power down the road... Does anyone have any idea if Cobb has anything else up it's sleve?
With my machine being totally stock I have a clean slate...

From what I've read, Cobb is looking at more popular packages of mods. If there is enough interest in a certain map, then they will make it available to everyone. You can always go get it dyno tuned (if you live in CA, great, if not, it's a great excuse for a road trip...)
To me the COBB unit looks like a better path. Sure its only offered by itself right now, but reflashes are only 20 bucks vs 100 bucks from vishnu. Soon you well be able to reflash the accessECU yourself with a special tool. That tool well be made available to previous owners of the accessECU also. The accessECU controls boost, where as with the Vishnu unit you still need to use a boost controller.

wow 20 bucks for a reflash????? and a reflashing kit coming soon? this mod sounds better than ever...
This means... if u slap on a pulley, i can reflash it for that? what exactly does a reflash do? give u the most from ur mod? they dont need me there for it, do they? i can just ship it out, etc... right? thanks a bunch guys.... oh and if i decide to reset my cobb, cuz ill be driving regular daily, and since the ecu "self learns", it may not be aggressive enough for the strip, when i go to the strip, i might wanna reset ecu to get max gains, will a reset hurt the reflash???

not that its any of your buisness anyways, but i work 64 hours a week *******, so if you dont have the common sense to think, "hey maybe he really does not have time to really look around" then thats your problem, but dont get pissed off when the way i spend time in my life is none of your buisness. shows how much of an *** you really are. good luck in life with an attitude like that.

I ordered a turbo back exhaust and up-pipe, and I just sold my SBC-id to get the AccessECU reflash. Hopefully it will be worth it as there is quite a bit of difference between driving my car with the EBC and driving it stock. For me the most important factor is to make reliable power, something that doesn't happen simply by turning up the boost.
The only thing I'm worried about is the availability of maps. I don't plan on stopping at the turbo back and up-pipe and cheap re-flashes are a big plus, however the benefit of cheap re-flashes are negated if there isn't a map available for your application. I like the logic behind reflashing, I have no dyno access (I live in Hawaii--no AWD dyno), I just hope Cobb produces more maps...

but you see, i actually have a life.... daddy didnt buy my car for me, i have to work and pay the bills, sometimes i dont have the time, and if you all cant understand that some days no matter how hard you try, you never have the time for things, then thats your problem, but dont **** and moan that a simple question, something that i cant seem to have the time for, that takes "4.5 seconds", and it will take "4.5 seconds" out of your day. i mean, if your not considerate enough to take "4.5 seconds" out of your day to post a web site..... wow, what dicks this world has....

p.s. sorry that some dick could not keep things simple enough to post a web site and some of us got side-tracked....

Chill out,
all of us have a life. My Daddy didn't buy my car. I'm Daddy to three and Grandad to two. You're pissed because someone made you look dumb. Get over it. It won't be the last time. And he did post the link for you, he just had a sense of humor.

Man there is alot of people that don't know what they are talking about here. the Cobb Flash is 395 so lets say thats 400 just for fun they are coming out with a device called the access port that will be 100 on top of the 400 so if you spent the 400 then the port would only be 100. Also the Computer in are cars can only handel x amount of flashes. 100 flashes that is so I dont know if you would want to reflash every time you wanna race some one.
Boost Addict: in order for you to reflash the comp so it can use the pullys more cobb would need a map for that then you could get online and download the new map from your computer hook it up to your car and reflash. If there are any more questions about the Cobb ecu please go to Cobbtuning.com check there fourm and the web page. Also I would just like to say that I live in SLC and I have the stage one kit and it kicks alot of ***. and yes I would say it is a night and day difference. So spend the 400 and if you can get it dyno tuned so you can get the most out of it.
THE END
