I've had the AEM CAI for about a year now, and I haven't had any problem with sucking up water. I've been worried a couple of times in hard rain storms, but the vent that the air comes into the fender from is so small, it's not really a problem. The only way that you would ever suck up a significant amount of water is if you submerged it. Just don't drive it through a puddle that's like 2 feet deep and you should be fine.

Just don't drive your car into a river, lake, ocean, etc and you'll be fine. With the location of the intake there is almost no way rain can get to the filter. Also you would have to completely submerge the intake in order to suck up any water.

That seems odd that it sucks water when it rains...its probably not supposed to do that.
Well on a better note...they motto for AEM should be "Our products really suck!" (Water that is)
